Players with most Premier League hattricks

The average number of goals scored in a professional football match is somewhere around 2.5 goals per game.

So, for a player to come in and score 3 all by himself is clearly a rarity, and to do it on multiply occasions means you have to be a special, special player!

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hattrick against Spurs in his recent encounter but he is nowhere close to scoring the most hattricks in the Premier League.

The Portuguese has 2 hattricks playing for Man United, first came in 2008, and then 14 years later he did it again last weekend.

Now it’s a different thing that he has 59 hattricks playing for club and country (ridiculous!).

But for today, we’ll put our focus, not on the great feats of Ronaldo, but players who have the most hattricks in England’s top flight!

Here is a list of players who not only won the match ball time and time again but also etched their name in Premier League history books!

Thierry Henry (8 hat-tricks)

When the French sensation joined Arsenal in 1999, he created a revolution. He was the Gunners’ top scorer in two of their three Premier League titles.

Arsenal’s leading goal scorer in the competition is Thierry Henry. For the North Londoners, the Frenchman scored 175 goals.

In his ten-year Premier League career, Thierry Henry scored eight hat-tricks. He won the Premier League Golden Boot four times. On two times, he was named the league’s best player.

With Arsenal, the Frenchman won two league titles. In addition, he won two FA Cups and two Community Shields. Not bad huh?

Harry Kane (8 hat-tricks)

Harry Kane is only ranked higher than Henry since he has played fewer Premier League games than these two (245).

The attacker has already scored eight hat-tricks in his career and will be looking to add to that amount in the future years as he attempts to climb the top-flight goal-scoring lists.

Robbie Fowler (9 hat-tricks)

Robbie Fowler is one of Liverpool’s all-time leading scorers. With nine Premier League hat-tricks, the Englishman is third on the list. He spent ten years with the Reds in two stints.

The Englishman is also one of the Premier League’s all-time leading scorers. Robbie Fowler is ranked eighth. In 379 league games, he scored 163 goals, making him Liverpool’s top scorer.

Alan Shearer (11 hat-tricks)

Alan Shearer decided to transfer to his boyhood club Newcastle United after helping Blackburn Rovers win the Premier League title in 1995.

In addition to reaching the back of the goal 260 times in the Premier League, the forward also managed 11 hat-tricks, a number that has only been surpassed by one player.

His 260 goals tally, make him the highest goal scorer in Premier League history.

Sergio Aguero (12 hat-tricks)

The Argentine is regarded as one of the best players in league history. He joined the Premier League from Atletico Madrid in 2011. Sergio Aguero appeared in the competition just for Manchester City. He is the club’s top scorer in the Premier League as well as overall.

Sergio Aguero scored 184 goals in 275 games for Manchester City. He is also the league’s leading foreign scorer. With 12 hat tricks, the Argentine tops this list!
