Juventus wishes to bring the former PSG Winger Di Maria

Juventus are looking to meet Di Maria halfway, reportedly ready to offer the player a one-year deal with the option of an extension of another year. Reports emerged in April regarding Juventus‘ interest in the veteran, with the Bianconeri now prepared to offer Di Maria a lucrative short-term contract to lure him to Turin this summer. The Bianconeri are hoping their offer would entice Angel di Maria from PSG. As such, Juventus is placing two contract offers on the table that could convince the former PSG star to take up the offers this summer. The club is expecting a positive reaction to its recommendations. Still, the Juventus target has asked for a one-year contract rather than the two years Bianconeri initially offered.

Juventus had been pushing to sign Angel di Maria in free agency, but Di Maria rejected their initial offer for a two-year contract, which would have cost a reported EUR 4.5m. Juventus is reportedly ready to come back to the table with a one-year deal, including an option to extend it by 12 months, presumably what Angel di Maria is looking for. Juventus appeared favourites to land either Di Maria, but according to Sky Sports Italy, the Argentine rejected Juventus’s offers for a two-year contract.

Angel Di Maria has agreed with terms which would see him pocketing EUR 8m in wages at Juventus for the 2022-23 season. Still, he would not change his contractual terms because he wants to move back to Argentina next summer, with his entourage now waiting for the club’s final decision. Italian giants Juventus and Argentina midfielder Angel Di Maria have agreed on terms of a contract, according to reports by Goal via CBS Sports Golazo.

Juventus told the Argentine that he has until June 18-19 to reply to offers, or else the club will look to sign their Plan B, Marko Arnautovic. In case Angel Di Maria does not, instead opting for the request from Barcelona, Juventus has identified the option of Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi and has already made contact with the club. Juventus has returned to asking for an Argentine, whom Juventus considers to be the alternative for Paulo Dybala, offering him a one-year deal, with a contract option for another year, with EUR 7m wages, according to Fabrizio Romano.

On 9 August 2012, Di Maria signed a new deal with Real Madrid, keeping him with Real until 2018. On 2 October, Di Maria won the Man Utd player of the month award for September, having recorded two goals and two assists in his first four matches with the club.
